U.S. Party / Case Index (USPCI)

The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts and the PACER Service Center introduced the U.S. Party/Case Index (USPCI) to the public on November 17, 1997.  The USPCI is a national index for the U.S. appellate, district and bankruptcy courts.  The index serves as a locator index for the users of the Federal Judiciary Electronic Public Access services.  Therefore a nationwide search will determine whether or not a party is involved in federal litigation.

Registered PACER users access the system with their current login name and password.  The system may be accessed at the website for the USPCI at https://pacer.uspci.uscourts.gov*  The cost for Internet access is 8 cents per page of search results.
